Chyon Simmons is a public accountant, contracting professional, business consultant and former licensed investment advisor. He guides hard working Americans through their daily decision-making and teaches how to better prepare a financial foundation for stability, growth, investing in the stock market and building wealth.

Chyon is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and a graduate of University of Texas’ accounting program. Over the years, his social media popularity has grown into an alter ego – DJ Dividends, The Original Financial Educator.

Chyon found his way into the public eye while working as a public accountant in Atlanta in the 90’s. After being assigned to give an interview on a local radio show to talk about what minorities can do to improve their individual circumstances, the response was so positive that he was overwhelmed with speaking engagements around the country. From this experience, he published his book ‘Get Out of Your Own Way: Help America Help You Live A Better Life,’ which was a huge success.

Throughout his 28 combined years of corporate experience in the financial services world, Chyon has lived in just about every major US market to include Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Phoenix and Seattle, building his I Got Cents brand name moniker. Now based in Los Angeles for the past 15 years, he has expanded his investment portfolio of blue-chip stocks with entrepreneur endeavors, starting several different businesses to include opening and operating a Sports Bar & Lounge is South Central Los Angeles from 2009 to 2015 and his flagship financial services company – IGC Financial.

Chyon continues to build his brand and clientele list by sharing financial literacy insight on the @igotcentspodcast and providing financial advisement and support services to high network business professional, up and coming entrepreneurs and small to medium-size businesses. His niche is demystifying complex financial jargon and helping individuals mitigate risk as they enter into the world of investing.

Like many millennials, Andre decided to go to college, "play it safe” and get a good paying job. After years of job hopping, Andre bet on himself and dedicated the later half of his 20s towards taking risks and creating his own video business, Kealii Creations LLC.

Under the mentorship of Chyon, Andre has grown his business to 6-figures and is currently creating content on his TikTok where he shares relatable stories about over coming life’s challenges.
